We have a separate online course that covers this in a lot more detail.When you start work your employer will put you though training in the correct techniques for moving and positioning and on this course we can only cover the basics.It is important to learn in your workplace and to treat the person with respect at all times, keep them informed and to help them and not force yourself on them.Incorrect manual handling can result in serious injury to you, your work colleagues and the person you are caring for. There are various regulations that have to be followed which you will receive further training on.Finally, if in doubt about anything, ask your manager.
