FullSizeRenderDogs are excellent to assist the disabled.Elsa a Dog Aid Retriever  Doodle at Crufts 2015 The charity Dog Aid train dogs to assist their disabled owners to complete daily tasks.

Assistance Dogs (UK) is a coalition of assistance dog organisations that encourages the exchange of ideas and best practice amongst its members, raises awareness amongst the general public and promotes behavioural and legislative changes to ensure the freedom, independence and rights of its clients.

Current members are Canine Partners, Dog A.I.D., Dogs for the Disabled, Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs, Medical Detection Dogs and Support Dogs.

Assistance Dogs (UK) aims to improve access for disabled people who depend on these dogs in public places such as supermarkets, restaurants and public transport which might not otherwise be accessible to them.  AD (UK)’s efforts are supported by the Disability Discrimination Act (1995).
