May Newsletter 2026

As we move through May, we’d like to thank all of our instructors, centres, businesses and learners for continuing to support ProTrainings and helping us improve safety, confidence and emergency preparedness across the UK. This month has already seen exciting developments across our training programmes, including new course updates, enhanced video content and continued work on specialist training areas such as allergy awareness, trauma response and workplace safety. We’re also seeing growing demand for flexible blended learning and practical hands-on training, helping organisations meet their compliance needs while building real-world confidence.

In this month’s newsletter, we’ll share the latest updates, new resources, featured products and upcoming projects from across the ProTrainings network.

New Allergy Awareness and Anaphylaxis Level 3 Course Launch

We are pleased to announce the development of our new Allergy Awareness and Anaphylaxis Level 3 course, designed to provide a more advanced understanding of allergy management, risk reduction and emergency response procedures. With allergies continuing to rise across schools, workplaces, hospitality settings and public venues, the need for high-quality allergy training has never been greater. This course is designed to meet the new requirements under Benedict’s Law.

This new course has been created to support organisations and individuals who require a deeper level of knowledge and practical awareness when managing allergies and responding to anaphylaxis emergencies. The training covers topics including common allergens, hidden risks, cross-contamination prevention, allergy management planning, legal responsibilities, emergency procedures and the safe use of adrenaline auto-injectors such as EpiPen® and Jext®.

The course has been developed using the latest guidance and best practice recommendations and is suitable for a wide range of sectors including education, childcare, hospitality, healthcare, workplaces and community organisations. It also complements the increasing focus on allergy safety and awareness across the UK, including the growing discussions surrounding school allergy management and future guidance changes.

As with all ProTrainings courses, it combines engaging video learning, clear explanations and practical guidance designed to build both knowledge and confidence. More information, release updates and launch details will be shared soon across the ProTrainings network.

Introducing the New HeartHero Elliot AED

We are also excited to announce that ProTrainings is now supplying the new HeartHero Elliot AED, a modern and easy-to-use automated external defibrillator designed to support rapid response during a cardiac arrest emergency. The Elliot AED has been developed with simplicity, reliability and readiness in mind, making it suitable for workplaces, schools, community settings, sports clubs and public access environments.

One of the standout features of the HeartHero Elliot AED is its clear visual and voice guidance, helping users stay calm and confident during an emergency. The device also offers connected app features that allow for monitoring, maintenance reminders and additional device management support, helping organisations keep their AED rescue-ready at all times.

The AED has been designed to reduce ongoing ownership costs, with long-life pads and user-replaceable batteries helping to make maintenance more straightforward and cost effective. Its compact design and robust construction also make it suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor cabinet installations.

Alongside supplying the device, ProTrainings can also provide AED familiarisation, CPR and defibrillator training, helping organisations not only install life-saving equipment, but also ensure staff and responders feel confident using it in a real emergency situation.

New Instructor Dashboard Features

Emailing Students from the Classroom:
Centre Owners can now email all students booked onto a course directly from the classroom. This can be used for course updates, pre-course instructions, or post-course follow-ups. Communications should remain relevant and necessary to avoid messages being ignored or blocked.

Emailing Instructors:
Centre Owners can also send emails to all instructors within their centre, making internal communication quicker and easier.

Uploading Documents & Certificates:
Certificates and documents can now be uploaded via the Admin Dashboard under Management > Upload Certificates. Files should be clearly named with relevant details such as course type and completion dates (e.g. FAW certificates, Skill Reviews, AET certificates). Consistent naming helps maintain accurate records and simplifies verification.

Registration Form 4 Undo Feature:
The digital Registration Form 4 will now include an undo option. If an instructor has manually accepted the form on behalf of a student, they can reverse this action, allowing the student to complete and accept the form themselves.

The new website brings together a growing range of trauma-related products and training information, including haemostatic dressings, trauma kits, tourniquets, training aids and specialist emergency response equipment suitable for workplaces, first aid trainers, schools, security teams and community preparedness programmes. The site also supports our wider work in trauma education, catastrophic bleeding control and major incident preparedness.
