Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ)
The Outdoor Pursuits 16-Hour First Aid course is fully aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid at Band 3 level. It covers both primary and secondary care where access to emergency services may be delayed or limited. This is a very practical hands-on course. You will largely work in pairs with another student, taking turns to be first aider and casualty. It includes 2 hours of outdoor scenarios on Day 2, to help you put all your learning together in a more realistic and memorable way. Please wear clothing appropriate for kneeling/lying on the ground, and bring your waterproofs and warm clothing. You may get a little dirty and wet, so you might want to bring a change of clothes for travelling home. Lunch and hot drinks will be provided but please bring your own snacks. There is plenty of parking at the venue.
