The First Aid at Work (FAW) refresher course is for anyone who wishes to fulfil the strong recommendations by the HSE (first aid regulations 1981) that all first aiders in business should annually refresh their first aid skills. This regulation is valid for every sector in and out of the workplace. This course can be done online or can also be done with one of our approved instructors locally. This course is ideal for many other sectors including Basic Life Support to people who just want to know a little more about first aid.

If your current First Aid at Work certificate is about to expire and you need to renew it, please do not complete this course, you will need to complete the First Aid at Work Requalification instead. The FAW Refresher is completed annually while you have an active FAW certificate that lasts 3 years and this can be done solely online. This means you are encouraged to complete the FAW Refresher each year until your current FAW certificate expires, then you complete an FAW Requalification to gain a new FAW certificate that will last 3 years, the FAW Requalification will include a practical session.

This course includes the latest CPR and Coronavirus recommendations.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 and the HSE latest requirements.  This course is ideal for those who have taken any version of the FAW or EFAW courses.

Please note that if you need to renew your First Aid at Work qualification, you will need to complete an approved classroom course.

Keeping first aid skills refreshed is an HSE recommendation and our online course offers an easy and effective method of meeting these recommendations as the course is all video-based it is much easier and more interesting.

This qualification can be delivered in the classroom locally or at your workplace or as a video online course.
