More about this course
This course is designed to equip instructors with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver Workplace Mental Health courses. Delivered over two consecutive days, the programme includes a pre-study requirement that must be completed before attending the training session. The pre-study consists of video-based e-learning hosted on the ProTrainings platform, with a save-and-return feature so it can be completed at the learner’s own pace.
The pre-study must be completed before attending either a classroom-based session or a remote virtual session, depending on the delivery method shown on the course listing at the time of booking. Key topics include understanding mental health, recognising common mental health concerns, applying the management standards approach, and supporting employees who may be experiencing mental health-related challenges.
This course is specifically designed to prepare instructors to support employees, managers, and businesses in identifying potential workplace stressors and putting systems in place to manage and monitor them effectively. To attend this training, learners must already hold a regulated teaching qualification.

Where possible, we also offer virtual, online, and distance learning options. Frequently Asked Questions
What mental health qualifications do the HSE accept, is it only mental health first aid?
The HSE has made an announcement that you do not have to just have one title to your mental health qualification. Mental health in the workplace and first aid for mental health are the same as far as the HSE are concerned. ProTrainings offer three levels of course and it can be taken as online, blended or class courses nationwide.
I want to complete a short practical module after completing the online course, is this possible?
We have a network of over 1000 approved and monitored instructors to deliver a short skill training session nationwide or we can come to your workplace to deliver the training. This blended training saves class time and provides the same qualification. Contact us on 01206 805359 to discuss your options.
What is CPD and why is having Certified CPD important?
CPD stands for Continuous Professional Development and is required in many business sectors. Even if you do not require a set CPD credit level, having Certifed CPD ensures the quality of training. ProTrainings are the highest gold standard of CPD ensuring that all courses are externally verified and mapped to the highest levels.
What is "SCORM ready" and will courses run on a LMS?
SCORM Ready means that online courses can run on any compatible Learning Management System (LMS). SCORM courses run seamlessly on your existing LMS system without a separate login so staff only login using the existing company system. ProTrainings online courses have an advanced SCORM ready system to give more features than any other company.
