Blended Tourniquets and Haemostatic Dressings Course – Part One Online Training

Welcome to Part One of the Blended Tourniquets and Haemostatic Dressings course from ProTrainings. This programme combines flexible online learning with a locally delivered practical session, ensuring you gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

This first stage is completed online. You will watch a structured series of training videos, answer knowledge review questions and complete a short assessment. You will then attend a practical session locally to demonstrate and apply your skills.

Why Bleeding Control Training Matters

Life-threatening bleeding can become fatal within minutes. Immediate and effective intervention is critical. During this course, you will learn how to use essential bleeding control equipment, including:

  • Trauma dressings
  • Haemostatic dressings
  • Commercial tourniquets

We also cover modern haemostatic agents, including next-generation products such as WoundClot, helping you understand when and how to use each option appropriately.

How the Online Part Works

This blended bleeding control course is designed for flexibility and convenience. Throughout Part One, you will:

  • Watch step-by-step instructional videos
  • Complete knowledge review questions
  • Take a short online completion test

You may start and stop the course at any time and return exactly where you left off. You can also rewatch any video whenever required, both during and after completing the online element.

The course is fully compatible with:

  • Desktop computers
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Smartphones

This means you can begin your training on one device and continue on another. You may also pin the video to the top of the screen, allowing you to read the supporting text while watching the lesson.

Learning Support and Accessibility

Each lesson includes written content to reinforce the video material and strengthen your understanding of bleeding control techniques.

If required, you can enable subtitles using the CC icon. Should you answer a knowledge review question incorrectly, additional guidance will be provided to support your learning before progressing.

Certification and Course Access

Once you successfully pass the online test and complete the practical element, you will receive:

  • A completion certificate
  • A certified CPD statement
  • An evidence-based learning statement

Your certificate includes a QR code for secure validation, enabling employers or organisations to confirm authenticity quickly and easily.

You will retain access to the online course for eight months from your start date, even after passing the assessment. As we regularly update our materials, you are encouraged to revisit the course to view new or revised content.
