Healthcare CPR/BLS
This 3 hour Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to respond confidently in medical emergencies. It covers adult, child, and infant CPR, choking, the recovery position, and complies with UK Resuscitation Council and ERC guidelines. This BLS training for healthcare professionals is ideal for annual updates, CPD requirements or new staff onboarding. Key topics covered include:
Scene safety and infection control precautions
Primary assessment and emergency response
Recovery position techniques
Adult, child, and infant CPR
Compression-only CPR
Safe CPR handover procedures
Choking recognition and treatment
AED training is a core component, reflecting the growing presence of defibrillators in workplaces and public spaces. With proper training, AEDs are simple to use and significantly increase survival rates in cases of cardiac arrest. This makes the course an excellent progression for those who have completed previous first aid training and want to advance their lifesaving skills.
