Course Details
First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) - FAW Requalification
This 2 day course is for those who need to requalify for their First Aid at Work Level 3 qualification (SQF Level 6 course also available). You must have a current FAW certificate which is expiring shortly.
This qualification will provide all the required first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured, and keep them alive until the EMS arrive.
This is a very practical hands-on course. You will largely work in pairs with another student, taking turns to be first aider and casualty. It includes 2 hours of scenarios on Day 2, to help you put all your learning together in a more realistic and memorable way. These may take place outside, so please wear clothing appropriate for kneeling/lying on the ground, and bring your waterproofs and warm clothing. Lunch, teas and coffees will be provided but please bring any cold drinks or snacks you require. There is plenty of parking at the venue.
