This Level 3 Regulated Course teaches you how to work safely as the Top Person in a High Risk Confined Space.
This qualification is recognised by UCAS, which means you can claim 8 tariff points for successfully completing this training and that will contribute to your UCAS application if you are applying for a course with one of Britain’s universities from September 2023.
Designed for learners who work as the Top Person, outside of the confined space as a point of connection between the outside world and the confined space. Learners who wish to undertake this qualification are likely to have prior qualifications or experience in working in/around confined spaces and be wishing to specialise or demonstrate occupational competence in working as a top person specifically.
The TQUK suite of Confined Space qualifications provides learners with the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of working in confined spaces. Areas covered include health and safety, classification of confined spaces by risk level and specific requirements for medium and high-risk areas. Learners will be able to progress to qualifications in the same, or another, subject area and prepare them for employment.
Each learner who completes this course will be awarded UCAS points that will contribute to their progression into higher education. UCAS tariff points translate qualifications and grades into a numerical value which is then used by higher education course providers to assess whether learners have met their entry requirements. While universities will have their own entry requirements, this new points system gives learners the opportunity to generate more UCAS points to support their progression into university.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
This course gives learners the opportunity to gain a formally recognised regulated qualification. If you require funding, a regulated qualification is often required. If you choose our course leading to a regulated qualification, there are additional assessment criteria to be undertaken with an instructor and a small extra certification charge.
