Watch more below then read on to find out more!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/376839224?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">It was invented by Jake Timothy, a Neurosurgeon who believes that the device has many benefits over traditional bandages, to both the patient and the person applying the device.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s5\"><b>Benefits of the HaemoCap\u2122 MultiSite<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Rapid Application<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Multi-site (Head, Neck, Limbs, Axilla)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Can be applied by one person and those not medically-trained<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Online training available with 3 CPD points<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Semi-transparent so that the wound is visible<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Unlike fabric bandages, it does not draw blood from the wound<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Simple to remove and re-apply after inspecting the wound<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Will not exceed 50 mmHg of pressure<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2022 Compatible with all suction devices<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s5\"><b>How to use the HaemoCap\u2122 MultiSite<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><u>STEP 1<\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Inspect wound for debris or penetrating objects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Apply absorbent gauze or dressing to the wound location or place the gauze on the device and then place onto the wound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Locate HAEMOCAP\u2122 MultiSite centrally over the wound site ensuring absorbent gauze is covered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Fix firmly using the hook and loop straps. Tear off the surplus strap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><u>STEP 2<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Attach a suitable vacuum pump capable of achieving -250mmHg and evacuate air from the device until the device constricts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><u>STEP 3<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Close the tube using the valve by pushing together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Remove the vacuum pump by disconnecting from the tube.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">To inspect or replace dressing, release pressure from the device by opening the valve on the device tube.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Peel back the device from the wound. Inspect the wound or apply additional absorbent gauze if needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Repeat steps 1-3 to reapply HAEMOCAP\u2122 MultiSite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s5\"><b>About the company<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Haemoconcepts manufactures a British-designed and built product.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Based in Yorkshire, the medical device company specialises in vacuum compression technology which can be used by civilians in a first response role or trained first responders.
