The course covers the latest fire safety regulations and the roles and duties of employees and their responsibilities on Fire Safety. \u00a0It covers how fires are started, methods of controlling fire spread, evacuating the building, fire briefings and risk assessing.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that learners undertaking a ProTrainings Trainings Course have the option to chose to take a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.protrainings.uk\/courses\/175-habc-level-2-award-in-fire-safety-qcf\">regulated qualification<\/a>. \u00a0We have a classroom course available through our national network of approved and monitored instructors and a video online course.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.<\/p>\n<p>Occupations that can use this course:<\/p>\n<div class=\"curriculum-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Fire Wardens<\/li>\n<li>Fire Marshals<\/li>\n<li>Responsible Persons in workplaces<\/li>\n<li>Responsible Persons in Buildings<\/li>\n<li>Managers<\/li>\n<li>People wanting a higher level of Fire Training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Curriculum:<\/p>\n<div class=\"curriculum-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Explain how fires are caused in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Describe the components of the fire triangle<\/li>\n<li>Identify the hazards during or after a fire, including the products of combustion<\/li>\n<li>Describe the characteristics of fire and smoke spread<\/li>\n<li>State the different methods used to identify and control fire hazards<\/li>\n<li>Define the term &#8216;means of escape&#8217; in relation to fire hazards<\/li>\n<li>Outline typical components for means of escape from fire hazards<\/li>\n<li>Describe methods of fire detection and raising the alarm<\/li>\n<li>Describe the principle of how fires are extinguished<\/li>\n<li>Describe how portable fire-fighting equipment should be used safely<\/li>\n<li>Identify common fixed fire-fighting systems and where they might be used<\/li>\n<li>Outline the duties of employers and employees with respect to fire safety in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Outline how to undertake a simple fire safety inspection in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Describe the stages involved in a fire risk assessment<\/li>\n<li>State the role and function of fire wardens in their workplace: on a day-to-day basis, during an emergency and if they are not in their designated areas of responsibility when the alarm is raised<\/li>\n<li>Outline the content of a fire safety briefing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This level 2 course is aimed at anyone who requires a course as a Fire Warden or a Fire Marshal.
