Why you need your own blood pressure monitor

by Keith -

Blood pressure monitorThe term ‘blood pressure’ is used to describe the strength with which your blood pushes on the sides of your arteries as it goes around your body.

It’s critical that blood pressure stays within a healthy range, as either higher or lower readings can mean trouble:

Hypertension, known commonly as high blood pressure, can put extra strain on organs and arteries. This can lead to strokes or cardiac arrest…a “heart attack”. This is much more serious than low blood pressure for real-world symptoms.

Hypotension (low blood pressure) causes blurred vision, weakness, dizziness and fainting. It’s not a major cause for concern unless figures drop extremely low, in which case extra compression may be needed to increase the pressure.

Measuring your own blood pressure frequently

If you don’t know whether your blood pressure is high, low or just right, then you can’t do anything about it. It’s always better to be on the safe side and our product of the month will help you out.

This fully automatic digital blood pressure monitor is ideal home use; it’s easy to use, one button operated unit that comes with a large LCD display, a memory capacity of 90 readings and a 2-year warranty.

You don’t need to do anything other than wrap the band around your arm and push the button; it’s fully automatic with auto shut-off. Fuzzy logic, a form of many-valued logic, means that it will use all of the results taken to give an approximation of your blood pressure and will not be affected by anomalies or extraneous variables.
